Question:
I have a 1998 Jayco Eagle 10 UD popup camper. I am changing the vehicle 4 way flat plug with a 7-wat in order to add a hot wire for camper battery charging. Then using a 7-way to 6-way square pigtail to connect to the 6-way square recepticle on the frame of my Jayco. BUT, one of the posts on the factory 6-way recepticle in the frame of the camper has broken off into the pigtail. I need a replacement Jayco 6-way frame mounted recepticle to replace the broken one.

Jayco is the only manufacturer that uses that type of 6-Way connector. We do not have a replacement that is going to work. Since yours is broken this is the perfect time to install a 7-Way connector on the trailer so you do not have to mess with various adapters. If you do not want to change to a 7-Way on the trailer then you would need to get a replacement trailer side Jayco 6-Way from Jayco.
But to add a 7-Way RV style connector to the trailer you can use something like # H20042. You will need to determine what the functions of the Jayco connectors wires are and then attach them to the 7-Way as follows:
White wire is ground
Red wire is left turn and brake
Brown wire is right turn and brake
Green wire is tail lights
Blue wire is output to the trailer brakes
Black wire is 12 volt power
Yellow wire is auxiliary power or reverse lights
