Roof Rack Fit on 2013 BMW 5 Series Sedan With Factory Mounting Points

I have a 2013 BMW 528i sedan Im trying to the roof bars that bolt directly into roof of car with out having to have those arms that hang down above door. Any ideas, besides BMW?

I do have ideas, as I verified with one manufacturer, Thule, that there is a roof rack that will install in the fixed mounting points of your 2013 BMW 5 Series sedan so you don't have to use the clips that attach to your BMW's door jambs. So the correct fit for a roof rack on your '13 BMW is made up of the following:

- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Silver # TH711200 or Black # TH711220

- Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars - Fixed Point # TH460R

- Fit Kit # THKIT3089

The fit kit of this rack will be what you bolt into the fixed mounting points of your BMW, with the feet attaching to the fit kit and the WingBar Evo crossbars on top of that. This will give you a very quiet, durable, and easy to use roof rack for your BMW.

The only other thing I recommend considering is adding locks to the feet to secure the entire rack to your BMW, which you can do with the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400.
