Question:
Will brakes for a 7000 pound axle work on a 5200 pound axle. Looks like due to supply issues you are fresh out of 5200 pound or even 6000 pound brake set ups. Looks like I could get 23-180-181 within a reasonable amount of time for a very fair price. I just need to know if they will work on my camper that has 5200 pound rated axles. Its a 33 foot fifth wheel so any additional braking with a heavier magnet shouldnt be an issue I just need to be sure the parts will all play nice together.

Yes, you can use the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 7,000 lbs item # 23-180-181 on your 5,200 lbs axle so long as you have a 5 bolt flange like the one linked in the diagram below. These brakes fit a 12" x 2" drum.
Another option is to use the Dexter Electric Brake Assembly for 12" - Right Hand - 6,000 lbs item # 23-106-09 and the Left Hand item # 23-105-09 which fit both 4 Bolt or 5 Bolt Flanges.
