The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights # CE27760 are constructed of galvanized steel and PVC tubing to prevent corrosion. It is our recommendation to prime and paint the galvanized parts since the parts are coated before the stamping process has begun. This may lead to a thin or damaged coating that will allow for rust.

For the light wiring as with any of the boat trailer lights it is recommended to disconnect the vehicle connection side since lights that are submerged can be damaged from the water. You will want to remove the trailer and ensure that the water has fully drained from all the light housings on your trailer before reconnecting the circuit.
