Is B&W Companion Slider for 2022 Ram 2500 With Pucks Compatible With Sidewinder Rotating Pin Box

I bought this hitch from you and it has been delivered with no issues. I dont own the 5th wheel RV trailer yet. A 2022 RAM 2500 Crew Cab 64inch bed with the OEM 5th wheel prep puck system is on order. I bought the sliding hitch because I dont know what pin box the trailer I end up with will have. The hitch installation instructions warn about using a trailer pin box that prevents the king pin from rotating within the jaws of the Companion coupler. It warns specifically about the Reese Sidewinder and Revolution pin boxes. I know that many trailers are being offered with such rotating pin boxes. If I buy such a trailer would I have to defeat the rotating pin box feature using bolts or can I just never use the sliding feature of the Companion hitch?

A rotating pin box like the Sidewinder, Revolution, or Lippert Turning Point would have to be locked out so it would not rotate while towing with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3670.
You are correct, the instructions do mention this, because the king pin needs to rotate within the jaws of the Companion. So if you do get a trailer with a rotating pin box, be sure to use the bolts that lock it out, and do not use the wedge. If you do that, you'll be fine using the B&W Companion # BWRVK3670 with your 2022 Ram 2500.
