Hitch Pin Hole Distance On Blue Ox Adjustable Ball Mount # BLU89XR For Rock Tamers Mud Flap System

Question:

I use a Rock Tamers mud flap set up that has a yoke that slides onto the shaft of hitch that slides into the receiver. A critical measurement for me is the distance from the pin hole, the one to make largest distance to ball, and the plate that the ball slides up and down on. The reason is due to hot exhaust from GMC diesel engine, so I can achieve as much clearance as possible. Thanks

The Blue Ox Adjustable Ball Mount # BLU89XR has a distance of 4-11/16" from the center of the furthest receiver hitch pin hole to the weld on the tube. The shorter hole is 3-7/16" from the center of the receiver hitch pin hole to the weld on the tube.

Since the Hub # ERT057 for the Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2-1/2" Hitches # ERT00110 requires 1" of space you will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on your receiver to the collar to determine exactly how much space you will have with the ball mount.

You may consider the Exhaust Outlets for Rock Tamers Mud Flaps # ERT200 to allow the heat from the exhaust to escape through the mud flaps.
