Replacement Hub and Drum assembly for ALKO 8480

Question:

Hello, I am looking for the replacement parts for the drums on our trailer and I have been having no luck. I would like the drums along with the bearing and race and whatever else that are inside as there is considerable wear to the inner areas of the drums that i have examined. I also did not take all of them all the way apart yet. If this is required please let me know and I can pull them the rest of the way apart to get whatever information is required. Below is the data I have gathered thus far please let me know what questions you have and I will do my best to answer. Pictures will also be included. From what I have been able to determine thus far the drum is AKLO is stamped with 8480. The grease seal is TCM 21334TB. The tire size is 235/85R16. The bearing has an inner diameter of 1.25 inches.

From what I have found, the ALKO hub and drum assembly you have is for 7,000 lb axles. I believe the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 12" - 8 on 6-1/2 # 8-219-4UC3 will work as a replacement. This has the same bolt pattern and uses the same outer bearing you have now with an inner diameter of 1.25". Your 21334TB grease seal has an inner diameter of 2.125" so that also matches the grease seal that comes with this assembly.

The only piece of information I am missing to make sure this fits is your inner bearing. This uses a # 25580 inner bearing with an inner diameter of 1.75". You will need to measure the inner bearing on your current hub and drum assembly in order to make sure this matches. If you find that your bearing has the same inner diameter of 1.75" then this will work as a replacement. If you find that it is a different measurement, feel free to reach out and I will help you find the right part.
