How To Replace A Broken Wheel Stud
Question:
Have a broken wheel stud on my trailer. It’s a 6x12 utility trailer with five bolt pattern. No brakes. I believe it is a 3,500 lb axle. I want to replace the broken wheel stud, and the 4 others as the threads have been damaged on those as well. I don’t know what size studs to get. Please help. I will also need new lug nuts

When finding replacement wheel studs you would have to measure them with a digital caliper like The 4 inch Carbon Fiber Digital Caliper # PTW80157. I will attach a diagram with the measurements needed to get the correct wheel studs you would need. Once you can provide me the measurements of A, B, C, D, E, and F I will be able to get you the correct replacement.
For example The Wheel Stud - Drive In 1/2 inch x 2-1/2 inch (Qty. 1) # 165995 measures 1/2 inch diameter and is 2 inches long. You would need to remove the hub and drive the studs out.
I attached a review video link below.
