Why is my trans temp guage pegged at 300 degrees

More than likely the reason your Derale Temperature Gauge Kit for Transmission or Engine Oil # D13009 is stuck at 300 degrees is because you have a 12 volt or a ground wire ran to the sensor terminal causing it to ground out and hit 300 degrees.
