With your 2019 Ford F-150 super crew cab with a 5-1/2 foot bed, the absolute best way to add crossbars for a cargo box is to use a stake-pocket mounted ladder rack. This is because adding traditional crossbars and feet to your setup requires drilling into the truck caps of your truck. Also, with the ladder rack, you receive the height you need in order to fully open and close your BAKFlip G2 cover without interfering with a low-profile system.

For the absolute best option, I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs # A4000964 (silver) or # A86RR (matte black). In addition to the 500-pound maximum weight capacity, the Pro Series has base rails that are completely adjustable along the truck's bed to accommodate the bar spread you need for your cargo box. Also, since the bases stand straight up, there will be no rubbing or interference when opening/closing your G2 tonneau cover. You also have the option of adding a tie-down eye bolt kit # A4000882 and the adjustable load stops # A4000880 for even greater cargo management. Also, since the square crossbars only measure 1-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall, they are compatible with a wide range of cargo boxes and other accessories.

If you need a recommendation for a great cargo box, I recommend the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black Glossy # TH629906. The Motion XT comes with a massive 22 cubic-footage capacity and comes with a dual-opening lid that allows you to easily open the box from either side of the truck. It also comes loaded with locks to protect your cargo. The clamps on the Motion XT will easily clamp onto the crossbars of the Adarac Pro Series.

To make loading and unloading cargo easier, I recommend using a truck step like the Bestop TrekStep - Side Mounted Truck Step - Aluminum - Passenger Side # B7541615. This particular step is designed to fit onto the passenger's side of your 5-1/2 foot bed with a super crew cab style. The Bestop TrekStep is a life saver by providing you with the height you need to load and unload cargo from the box. It includes an easy drill-free installation with all included hardware. We do not currently carry a step that is compatible with the driver's side of your truck.

Question:

Thank you for such quick and comprehensive feedback! If you could, what would you recommend for the low profile mount option? Just want to compare the options.

Absolutely!

For the low-profile option, that requires the following parts:

- Yakima 60" HD Tracks # Y74MR
- 2x of the Landing Pad 26 # Y75ZR
- Yakima SkyLine Towers # Y00148
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long # Y00426

With the 60" tracks, you will need to drill them into your bed rails with the included hardware. This particular setup is only about 4 inches high from the bed rails on your 2019 Ford F-150. It is important to note that the crossbars must be removed in order to open and close your G2 cover.
