Hello, I have a Toyota RAV4 2012. I am hoping to attached a hitch that that i can attach a 4 bike bike rack . I am needing to make sure it clears that tire on the back of my car. Can you recommend a hitch? Thank you

I recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98864 for your 2012 Toyota RAV4 because it has a matte black finish that has proven to hold up better to road debris than the standard glossy black finish you see on the vast majority of hitches out there.
When we installed this hitch on a 2012 RAV4 (see attached video) we found from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the bumper to measure 4" but then from that same point to the back of the spare tire measured 8" so we need to clear 8" for a bike rack.
For a standard hanging rack you can use the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR but I recommend going with the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465 instead because it has features that are easier to use plus it has a swinging base which means you'll be able to swing it out of the way without unloading your bikes and you can have unrestricted access to your rear cargo area.
