Does the Muffler have to be Removed to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2013 Nissan Altima Sedan
Question:
I am looking to purchase a hitch for my 2013 Nissan Altima. Do ALL hitches for my year make/model require the muffler to be dropped for hitch installation? If not which hitch models do not require the muffler to be dropped to install hitch?

All of the trailer hitches for a 2013 Nissan Altima Sedan do require temporary removal of the muffler in order to complete the installation. The most popular hitch option for the vehicle is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24796 that you have referenced. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation and a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing first consult the vehicle owners manual for the vehicles capacities. For a ball mount use # 3594. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # 118470.
