Trailer Hitch that Fits 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid

Found the hitch I want but site said excluding hybrid Had watch the installation video. The under side of my vehicle looks the same as the escape in the video. I’m wondering if this has to do with the fact that the hybrid has a towing weight limit of 1500 lbs. The reason I decided to install the hitch was because there are no recovery points on the car. Was not sure of this Until this morning. Had a conversation with a ford mechanic. “ Looks like ford did not put recovery points on the 2021 and 2022 escape. His answer was. “ Not aware of any”. My Escape will not be use for towing. I might buy a cargo carrier. Please comment.
