What Bike Rack Light Kits do You Recommend to Use with a Bike Cover?

I have your Ecohitch installed on my 2019 Telsa Model 3 and love it!. Its used for my tray style bike rack. Im considering getting covers for the bikes for rain protection but my concern is that the rear lights will be fully blocked. I did not have a lighting harness installed when the hitch was installed. Do you have any suggested for both a lighting harness Tekonsha? and some type of portable lights that I can attach to the bikes or the back of the car? Your advice is appreciated again. Thanks

Thanks for your purchase!

As far as the cover, the only bike cover we carry is the Swagman Bike Cover # S24FR, but this cover is meant to use specially with RVs. Technically, while it can work on your 2019 Tesla Model 3, it can potentially get torn up during highway travel. This is because the cover receives more of a shield when attached at the rear of an RV.

For light wiring, you do need a 4-way harness for the portable tail lights. I recommend the Tekonsha Upgraded Heavy Duty 4-Way Harness # 119190KIT. This particular requires a splice-in installation into your factory wiring on your Model 3.

In order to have the visibility you need when using the cover, I recommend using the Curt Auxiliary LED Lights # C53201. These lights plug right into the 4-way harness and come with 3M waterproof adhesive that can mount conveniently to a desired surface. The best way to mount these lights is directly to the bottom of your bike rack and tuck the cover under the bike tires in order to have the lights exposed at the bottom. I went ahead and attached a photo of a neighbor using these lights on a bike rack to show you a mounting option.
