Time-Delayed Brake Controller Recommendation to Match Tekonsha Wiring on Truck

Question:

Does Tekonsha make a time delay brake controller that uses the same wiring harness plug as the P3? I have installed a P3 and can’t get it to work right so want to go back to a more basic and simple to use controller and hoping Tekonsha makes one that uses same harness so it’s just plug in and go

Tekonsha does have their PowerTrac # 39523 time-delayed controller but I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Activator IV # 5504 brake controller instead. Both options match up directly to your Tekonsha wiring (they are both under the same parent company) but the Activator IV comes with a limited lifetime warranty as opposed to the limited 5-year warranty on the PowerTrac.
