The bike racks are rated for tires up to 4-1/2" wide and a weight of up to 33lbs per bike. If you want an easier to use and heavier rated rack the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004-FB holds the bike by the frame and is rated for up to 44lbs per bike and up to 5" wide tires.

I recommend getting a Spare Tire for Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG465 so that you have a spare tire with the trailer.
