Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Wilderness

Question:

Will this hitch fit on the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness model? The Wilderness front and rear depart angles are different from the standard Outback. My Subaru dealer says I have to use their hitch because of this.

When it comes to installing a trailer hitch on your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Wilderness per the manufacturer The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # C67JR is confirmed to fit your vehicle.

The trailer hitch has a concealed cross tube which will give it the sleek look the factory would give you. It has a bolt-on installation with no welding required and you use the existing hardware that is currently on your vehicle to bolt it up. The hitch has a gloss black powder coat finish that is over a protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance.

The trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 3,500 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 350 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find out the proper towing capacity of your vehicle.

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467 has a plug and play installation that comes out as a 4 flat. The harness connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, either behind the driver's-side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment. Using this harness will make your trailer's stop, turn, and brake lights mirror your vehicle's stop, turn, and brake lights.

To finish up your towing experience The Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534 includes the ball mount, the 2inch hitch ball, and other towing starter accessories needed.
