If your 2008 Chevy Silverado initially came with the cab and chassis body then you should be able to use the Buyers Products Hitch Plate with Receiver Tube - Chevy/GMC # 3371809065. This is for the 3500 model and measures 17" tall by 62" wide. You'll need to check on the fitment on your end since this is a sort of fabrication for the installation.
