Question:
Although I am very happy with my Equal-i-zer W/D system, Im always looking to either simplify and/or improve. Now that I have an F350 I dont think I need the Equal-i-zers sway control. It would be nice to dispense with the heavy bars plus I figure my jack motor will get 1/2 of the use it does presently. On another forum four guys with Gen Ys say it does deliver a noticeably smoother ride. I take all testimonials with a pinch of salt but the design does intrigue me and it seems like it must soften a good percentage of the sharp bumps. The only downside I see is that the Gen Y is 20 lbs heavier. I often remove the hitch so that would be more bothersome. I think I will make a dolly to set it on to wheel it away.

Rather than looking at separate systems you can use the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # GY54FR to combine with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37101ET. This will give you the smoother ride and retain the sway control and weight distribution you have with the Equal-i-zer hitch.
A Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024 will not provide you with sway control that is best to have with large trailers.
The Equal-i-zer hitch will require a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included 2-5/16" hitch ball that comes with the hitch.
