This doesnt make any sense. You are sticking the rod through two holes and saying lift up to raise in my case a trailer with 1000 lbs on it. Lift up on what and how is that going to make the jack raise up the trailer? Its stuck between two holes and how can it go higher? Do you have a video and a close up or diagram where you can actually see how to do this where you actually do raise it not just say lift up? Lifting up does nothing, youre stuck between two holes...

The Domar Stabilizer Jack # TJ01RT that you referenced is intended to provide stabilization and support for up to 650 pounds.This jack is not intended to provide lift (as in removing from a coupler), but is intended to stabilize a parked trailer. If your trailer is 1,000 pounds you will want to use at least 2 of these jacks.

To raise the jack with the foot in the down position an additional rod is inserted into the jack one hole above where you would like to move the position of the foot, and by lifting the handle up that will move the foot positing up. This should be done one hole at a time.

I have included a customer submitted photo for your reference, and there are two videos included that demonstrate this jack, and how the additional rod will be used to increase the height of the jack. I have also provided link to a helpful article that describes the different types of trailer jacks and their typical usages.

The product page also includes several customer submitted photos of this jack being used on several small lightweight trailers. These show this jack being used to stabilizing the trailer at varying heights.

If by chance you are needing a jack to provide lift for your 1,000 pound trailer I have included a link to a selection of jacks that are intended for that purpose. Please feel free to browse and isolate by the criteria listed on the left hand side of the page. It is advised to make sure that the jack that you choose is rated for at least the tongue weight of your trailer if not more. Selecting a jack with a higher capacity does prolong the life of the jack by reducing the amount of stress on the jack.
