Does The Lippert OneControl Propane Tank Sensor Work On Larger Motorhome Propane Tanks

Question:

2007 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40PDQ - the big standard onboard tank? I don’t know if it’s horizontal or vertical. Our propane monitor to the panel inside doesn’t work properly - it would be great if we could just put this on the bottom of it.

Typically Class A motorhomes like your 2007 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40PDQ have a 100lb horizontal tank. Since the Lippert OneControl Propane Tank Sensor # LC32UD is only compatible with vertical tanks you'd be better served replacing the monitor you have with one like the SeeLeveL RV Holding Tank Monitor # SE34VR.

The communication wires from your tank to your monitor can be cut and spliced onto the new monitor, allowing you to quickly read your tank levels. This system can also easily replace your fresh, gray, and black tank readers as well with a kit that includes the sensors, like part # SE59VR.

I've attached an installation video below that I did on a fifth wheel trailer that already had a monitoring system in place to help give you a better idea of how his system installs and operates.
