Trailer Hitch for 2017 Mazda 3 Hatchback with 2,000 lb Trailer Weight Capacity

Question:

Hi, Im getting ready to move from Ohio to California, and thinking of renting a Uhaul 5foot X 8foot cargo trailer for my 2017 Mazda 3 hatchback. I entered my cars information on Uhauls website and it looks like it can tow a cargo trailer. Is part #24984 the correct trailer hitch to buy? And from what I can tell from Uhauls website, the allowed cargo weight is 1100 lbs for a hitch with a rating of 2000 lbs? Thanks,

I have a similar hitch that fits your 2017 Mazda 3 hatch back but the Draw Tite you mentioned does not fit your vehicle. Instead you'd want the Curt Class I part # C11377 which is rated for 2000 lb towing.

For trailer wiring then you'd want the # 118405 and you'd be set.
