Can this be run from existing fan wall switch or must it be operated from the control panel on fan only?

The controls for the MaxxFan Roof Vent part # MA00A04301K are on the bottom of the unit. It's not compatible with any wall mounted controls. If this won't work for you there is another model with handheld remote, the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent part #MA00-07000K.
We don't offer any options to use an existing switch unfortunately.
