How To Lower A Trailer With Leaf Springs

I have a single axle trailer and I’m needing to lower the trailer 2-2.5 inches. I was wondering if lowering the front hangars 2-2.5” would correctly lower it? There’s plenty of length on the fronts to make the adjustments. Would I need to change the rear shackle lengths in conjunction with that? Or is there a better way to change the height without doing an over-under conversion?

When it comes to lowering your trailer 2-2.5 inches if your have leaf springs and they're positioned above the axle tube, you can flip them with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 if you have a 3 inch diameter axle or # K71-384-00 if you have a 2-3/8 inch diameter axle.

If the leaf springs are already below the axle tube then you can go with a slightly smaller wheel/tire combo, or you can install shorter leaf spring hangers.

If you can tell me what your tire size is and what your leaf spring hanger height is I should be able to provide parts numbers for shorter leaf springs.

I attached a review video link below.
