Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System For 6,000 lb Tandem Axle Trailer

Will your product retrofit to have equal weight carrying capacity? Trailer with 3 ton dual torsion axle, want to retrofit with your product

You can replace your tandem 6,000 lb torsion axles with a pair of Timbren Axle-Less suspension systems, but you'd need to go with the 7,000 lb systems to get the correct capacity. There aren't 6k Axle-Less, which is why you'd have to go with the 7k to be sure you have the correct weight capacity. Here is exactly what you'd need, with the system as well as hub and drum that fits:

- Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 7K # TASR7KS01

- Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ

The hubs come with the needed bearings, races, and grease seal, and if want to add electric brakes to this set up you can do so with the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-180-181 and Mounting Hardware # BRKH12.

The Timbren Axle-Less system is a really good choice because they give you an improved ride compared to a traditional through-axle. The reason for that is the Timbrens aren't connected by an axle beam, so they work independently, meaning if there is a bump on one side of the road it won't rattle your entire trailer. The system also has progressive springs built in which are shock absorbers that allow a much smoother, more comfortable ride than the leaf springs found on standard axles.
