Installing Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Mounted 2-Bike Carrier # S64702 in 2011 Ford F150 With Bed Liner

I noticed a few people committed on the plastic bed rail and having to cut away to fit tight. Is this the case. I have 2011 ford f150 platinum with the top plastic bed rail and a bed liner. Will this product work without any cutting? From the video it seems it should fit tight without any other altering of the actual truck bed or rail

Installation of the Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Mounted 2-Bike Carrier # S64702 in a truck having a plastic bed liner will require you to drill two holes, one on each side of the bed liner. You will not have to cut the liner away but the two holes are required to provide a sure footing for the two end plate pins. These pins will extend into the two drilled holes to provide a firm attachment point. This is necessary due to the sometimes slippery surface of bed liners.

I have linked a video showing installation of this Swagman rack in a 2011 F-150 with a bed liner. The drilling step for the end plate pins is not included but this is covered in the written installation instructions which are also included for your reference.

This Swagman rack includes an integrated push-button lock (and two tubular keys), steel construction and a 2-bike capacity of 80-lbs total. You might consider a cable lock like the # e98891 to lock your bikes to the carrier.
