Hello, what is the minimum clearance needed between the bumper and the skin of the camper? I only have about half an inch.

The back plate of the Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch for 4" RV Bumpers # MNT47FR is 3/16" thick so you'll have enough room to install it with your 1/2" of space. I've attached a short video below going over how to install this hitch.
