Will Truck Mount Rack Affect Hatch on 2021 Subaru Forester Over Time

I have a 2021 Subaru Forester. Interested in buying a bike rack that is for the back gate vs. hitch type. Have there been any issues or concerns about lessening the integrity of the lift gate?

There won't be any issues with the liftgate longevity when using a trunk mount bike rack on a 2021 Subaru Forester because the hatch should not be opened with the rack installed even when there is no bikes. Therefore, there won't be an affect. If you're looking for a trunk mount rack I recommend the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack part # Y02634.
