Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Bike Rack for a 2012 Ram 1500 With Class III Bumper

Hey There Happy customer from before, needing a new hitch. I need a hitch for my dodge ram 2012, 1500 and only want one that I can attach to the bumper for use as a bike rack carrier. The one we got from you for our Honda works great, but thats going to our daughter who seems to wreck cars. Easiest installation possible, as the truck will probably only last another year or so, with 300,000 miles. It has that roughly 2 diameter hole in the step area, with no frame under. It just goes straight back to the spare tire underneath. If theres something I can install just using that large hole, great. I can drill a few holes. Thanks!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13333 will allow you to add a 2" receiver to your 2012 Ram 1500. Since you have their class III bumper this part will bolt to the bumper and best off all it only takes 3 bolts. This receiver will allow you to carry up to 600lbs for a hitch mounted accessory.

I find the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22B is one of the easiest bike racks to use. Its light at only 32lbs and allows you to carry 2 bikes up to 40lbs each.
