What is the determining factor for the tongue weight on the telluride 2020 being 351lbs verses the 2021 telluride at 500lbs?

I am not sure how Kia came up with the tongue weight on the Telluride, however, I did confirm that the owner's manual for the 2020 model says max tongue weight of 351lbs, and the owner's manual for the 2021 model says max tongue weight of 500lbs as you mentioned. Kia just states that the 2021 Telluride has enhanced towing capabilities and also was upgraded to a 7 pin trailer connector.
