Will Reese Weight Dist Shank Bolt Hole Spacing Match Up with Older Head Unit

Question:

I have a 2013 Chevy Tahoe w/2inch receiver. I believe I need a RP 3344 shank to get the 6-1/2inch for my Big Tex flat bed trailer. QUESTION: Will my mid-1980s style Trunnion Head bolt up to the RP 3344 shank? The Heads mounting bolt spacing is 3-3/4. Thank you for your response.

Expert Reply:

The Reese Weight Dist Shank # RP3344 is 2" square and the bolt holes are 1-1/4" apart on center so as long as your 1980s weight distribution head meets the 2" width spec it sounds like you'll be just fine, although you'll only have 1 bolt hole's worth of adjustment since your bolt hole spacing will span 3 bolt holes.

Attached is a review video for you to check out.
