Question:
Would using the 5th wheel/gooseneck adaptor cause damage to the 5th wheel trailer frame during transport? Ive read that it can cause unnecessary stress on the frame from the reduced movement versus a standard hitch.

The issue is that when using a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter like # CAB-C5GX1216 the distance from the trailer to the connection point (ball) in the truck is greater than it would normally be with a 5th wheel trailer hitch. This extra distance is what produces the stress. Some trailer manufacturers say not to use this type of adapter so you would want to check with the trailer manufacturer first.
