Question:
I wish to do a side wall mount in a 4 season truck camper and am leaning towards the Ventline VP-543 over the Maxxair because of the lower power draw and noise level. I have researched and some users say it is fine for sidewall. I notice your latest Reply by Jameson C on that question says Ventline suggests roof top only. Looking at the unit does it seem obvious that rain/snow will be an issue?

The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent part # VP-543SP is intended for use on the roof yes, but we have seen several others use this on the side of their trailer/van without issue. I do however recommend that you close the vent in any inclement weather.
I have attached a photo of said vent being used as a side mount below.
