Best Way to Carry E-Bikes at Rear of Camper
Question:
Since our Aliner camper does not have the necessary 4” clearance from camper to bumper, we cannot use the Lippert Components Flip Down Slotted Bike Rack. Reading further, I found the Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper, but it is not designed for bikes. Do you know if people have in fact carried bikes on this other model? We had a hitch welded on for a normal bike rack, but there is too much side to side jostling for safety or security which is why we were attracted to the Lippert style. Obviously the carrier for the bumper not intended for bikes does not have the vertical post. FYI one of the 2 bikes is a heavier electric. Suggestions?

For carrying e-bikes at the rear of a camper the best solution will be to go with an e-bike rack that is approved for use at the rear of a camper like with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR which was designed for the rougher ride quality at the rear of campers, has a weight rating that is higher for e-bikes, and is very secure and wouldn't allow any movement of the bikes loaded on it.
You would need a 2 inch hitch installed on the camper like with the Curt # 13703 which fits all trailer frame styles that are between 22 and 72 inches apart.
