What is Needed to Add Gooseneck Trailer Hitch to 1993 Chevy 3500

We have a 1993 chevy 3500hd. What products do I need to add a gooseneck hitch? Preferably some type of hidden hitch

Expert Reply:

All you need to add a gooseneck trailer hitch to your 1993 Chevy 3500 truck is the gooseneck hitch and brackets (which come together), and a gooseneck wiring harness. For your truck, we do have an option for a hidden gooseneck, from Curt:

- Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch w/ Installation Kit # C60713

The Double Lock # C60713 has everything you need for the installation in your truck, and fits both the 8 foot long bed and 6-1/2 foot short bed. If you do have a short bed I highly recommend an offset hitch ball to maximize your turning clearance, the Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch # C602.

Finally, to connect your gooseneck trailer to your truck you'll need to add a gooseneck wiring harness to the bed of your Chevy (if you don't have one already). The correct fit for that is the 7-Way Pre-Wired Car Connector # 20023.
