Question:
Does the feeder move back to the A position in step 1 for storage or does it stay permanently in B position? It seems locked in B position. Also if M6 bolts are supposed to go in while its in A position and I have it locked in B position and M6 bolts tightened up in B position is that ok?

To return the Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # TH9025XT back to the upright position, you will need to remove the M6 bolt, lift the handle, and pull the rack upright.
Once the rack is upright, replace the M6 bolt and re-tighten. It is not going to be possible to move the rack upright if the bolts are still in, so you will need to remove those.
