Recommended Ladder Rack for a 2022 Ram 2500 w/ a BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover

Question:

I have read the FAQ and watched videos. Then read reviews. One review stated that thule tracrac sr does not fit with bakflip mx4 cover on ram truck. I would like to purchase the rack system but need to have confirmation that thule tracrac sr will work with my mx4 cover on my 2022 ram 2500 tradesman 8ft bed. Works means I can loose no functionality with my mx4 cover with rack system.

I do have a solution for you but the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # TH43003XT-000 won't work with the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover item # BAK48204 on your 2022 Ram 2500. There are a couple of reasons for this. The first is the rails on the SR are wide so they will likely overlap with the seals on the MX4 and they attach in the same place. The second reason is because the uprights on the ladder rack are angled inward and the folding slats on the MX4 would come into contact with the uprights when lifted.

Instead, you will want to use the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack Silver item # A69FR or the Matte Black item # A24JG which has straight up and down uprights and is the only ladder rack we have that will work with the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover.
