Question:
How can the screen be removed for cleaning ? The gasket on the exterior cover is no longer attached to the cover. New gasket ? Just re-glue ?

To remove the screen on the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP you will first need to remove the screw from either side of the handle, remove the handle, and then remove the screws that hold the vent in place. Be careful when you lower the vent as that switch will still be connected to wires. You can either disconnect the wires or choose to leave them connected while you clean (carefully).
To replace the gasket that came with the vent you can use the Sealant # 34427034145-1 which is the industry standard for roof vents.
