Parts Needed to Add Brakes to Trailer with 5,200 lb Axles
Question:
What kit would I purchase to add brakes to my tandem axle on my 22 foot 2019 barrentine trailer wash axle is 5200 pound axles.

You'd need to swap out the idler hubs of your trailer for a set of hub/drums like the part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K which you'd then need to use the brake assemblies part # 23-464-465 which are self adjusting and you'd be set. You will need to wire up the brakes with 10 gauge wire like the part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
