Does DEF Tank of 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Drop to Install etrailer Hitch

I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee Sterling edition with the eco diesel. Is it absolutely necessary to down the DEF tank to get access to the bolts to attach the trailer hitch to the frame?

Yes it is necessary to lower the DEF tank of your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel when installing the etrailer hitch # e98901 since it blocks access to where the hitch installs on the vehicle.
