Troubleshooting New Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Not Working for 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought a trailer hitch for my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS and that is good. I just installed the T-One part number 118258 wiring harness and shows no power to the 4 pins. Any idea whats going on? The Hyundai did have the connectors under the vehicle on the driver side. Thank you.

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118258 not having any power means that either the fuse that comes with it is bad or a fuse for the trailer lights on your 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe is bad since this is connected to the OEM tow package.

From what I was seeing in the online owner's manual the "BATT" fuse in the engine compartment fuse box takes a 30A fuse and protects the Trailer Power Outlet so that's what you'll want to check.

If the fuses look good then I'd try disconnecting the T-One wiring and testing the pins on their own. If you see power this way then the wiring kit is bad and needs to be replaced but if you don't see power then your OEM wiring is messed up somewhere and you either need to track that down and fix it or you can install the T-One # 118415 instead which bypasses your OEM connector by pulling power from your battery and getting triggered through the tees behind your tail lights.
