Should Side Clearance Lights on Boat Trailer Act As Turn Signals
Question:
I have a dual axle boat trailer with yellow marker lights on the forward wheel wells and red marker lights on the rear wheel wells. before I dropped the trailer off for service, the forward yellow marker lights on the wheel wells would blink with corresponding turn signal. Now they no longer blink. Some people are saying they arent supposed to Blink and were never supposed to blink and some people are saying they are supposed to Blink when you signal. What is the correct answer?

It sounds like you have something like the Amber Lens # MCL0032ABB at the front and the Red Lens # MCL0032RBB at the back of your fenders.
Normally these lights are designed to switch on and off with your headlights since they are for clearance purposes. Some trailers may be a bit more fancy and have amber lights that act as both running lights and turn signals but for a boat trailer your amber lights would more likely than not be on the same circuit as your running lights so it sounds like everything is operating as it should!
