Parts Needed to Use a StowMaster Tow Bar to Flat Tow a 2004 Toyota Corolla
Question:
I have a StowMaster 5000 tow bar and am trying to figure out what I need to hook it up to my 2004 Toyota Corolla. Currently, I do not have any base plates and I do not know which ones to get. The StowMaster 5000 appears to have a crossbar built in but mine is missing the large pins for securing it to the vehicle. Please advise what products I need to get this thing hooked up. Many thanks!

To use your Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 (StowMaster 5000) on your 2004 Toyota Corolla, you will need to use the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1165-1. This base plate kit is confirmed to fit your Corolla and is compatible with the StowMaster tow bar. We also have the replacement linch pins # RM-910024. I have also listed out other parts needed for flat towing your Corolla below:
Safety Cables
- RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643
Tow Bar Wiring
- Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
Supplemental Braking System
- Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR
It is also important to check the owners manual for your 2004 Toyota Corolla to ensure you are doing everything that is recommended/required to flat tow your Corolla.
