Yes, the 20K weight rating of the Blue Ox Adjustable Ball Mount with Pintle Hook # BLU25XR is the same whether you're using it as a standard hitch ball or in the pintle hook application.
This is a nice, solid piece of towing gear that I recommend securing with the InfiniteRule Hitch Lock # 34061072-D to deter opportunist thieves from getting a little greedy.
