What Are Cargo Management Rails And How Do They Work With Truck Bed Bike Racks 2014 Toyota Tundra
Question:
I have a 2014 Toyota Tundra Crewmax and am not sure what the two models of this product mean when one has cargo management rails and one does not. What are they? Thanks!

The cargo management rails that our truck bed bike rack selection guide is referring to are side-rails that are installed on the inside of the truck bed frame rails. With these internal side rails installed you can add cross bars which will then give you two layers of cargo carrying ability. These rails are typically dealer installed and are not offered with all makes and models of trucks. I could not find where Toyota has these rails however this is an option on Ford trucks and Nissan has a tie down track system that is similar to cargo management rails.
With the different truck bed bike racks that we offer, some of them attach to the truck frame bed rails. If the truck has inside the truck bed, bed rails installed it can interfere with how the truck bed bike carrier can attach.
