I would be happy to help you. We have a couple of options for 2" hitches depending on what model your 2017 VW Golf is. I have listed them below. All are custom fit and bolt to your Golf with included hardware and will work with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY84FR you referenced.

GTI Model - EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7309

R Model - EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7332

If your Golf is not one of those two models then you will be limited to using a 1-1/4" hitch like item # 24925 you were looking at.
