Is Pin Weight Concern With 2007 F-250 & Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck With Offset

Question:

I have a 2007 f250. Just curious about pin weight. Since this mounts so close to the middle of the 5th wheel rails and not really over the frame rails. Concerned about putting too much weight in it and bending the middle of the bed in.

So long as you stay within your truck's tow capacity, pin weight will not be an issue for your 2007 Ford F-250 with the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails - 3" Offset # 16055.

Its mounting point won't bend the middle of your truck bed, just be sure to stay within the 5th wheel/gooseneck capacity of your truck. There are many different possible capacities for an F-250 depending on things like cab and engine size, so refer to your owner's manual, but for example a middle rating is about 14,000 lbs, so pin weight with the # 16055 should be in the 2,500 lb range.
