Can The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR Be Used In a Open Floor Plan Travel Trailer?

Expert Kevin says this cannot be installed in a bedroom. However, my 1984 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite trailer is only about 18 ft long and has a totally open floor plan. The existing original water heater is under one of the bed platforms. Can this not be installed anywhere in my trailer?

As long as you are able to mount the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR vertically in an area that is open it will work in your 1984 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite trailer. As this unit is 14-5/8" there is typically not enough room to mount this under a bed platform. You also need to ensure it is in an area where it can get enough air. The heater uses a Oxygen Detection System which will shut off the heater if it detects oxygen levels are getting low. This is the reason they recommend installing it in a larger open area where it will not quickly reduce the oxygen in the air. Since you have a large open concept trailer you will be able to mount it in the main living area/kitchen area where it is well ventilated to get the air it needs to function.
