Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2005 Jayco Greyhawk Motorhome

Question:

Hoping to install this hitch on my motorhome, it has the same 38.5inch bolt to bolt measurement. Worried about whether this will clear the bumper. Ill need ~3.5inch from the top of the mounting surface to the top of the receiver to clear it. I cant find that measurement on any website. Can you help? 2005 Jayco Greyhawk 31SS E-450. I verified it has the same frame width as the E-350. Thanks

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41945 you referenced is only confirmed to fit 2004 - 2014 Ford Van E-150, E-250, and E-350 so it's most likely not a fit due to exhaust placement or some other suspension part or bracket.

The current fits that we have for a 2005 Jayco Greyhawk 31SS are all adjustable style hitches. Since you're need a 3.5" drop to clear the bumper I recommend the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13701. This hitch will bolt to the bottom of your motorhome's frame and has approximately 4" from the top of the mounting bracket to the top of the receiver tube.
