Will 50 Amp Power Watchdog Surge Protector Monitor and Adjust Storage Charging for Battery Bank
Question:
Can this 50 amp watchdog surge protector, either hardwired or plug in, act as a battery minder trickle charger. Keep it plugged in all winter and maintain the charging not overcharging? Or do I have to take the batteries out of the RV and use a battery trickle charger?

Thanks for reaching out!
The Power Watchdog Surge Protector for a 50 Amp Service, part # HU47FR, does a great job at keeping your battery bank safe and informs you if there is a problem, but it isn't designed to monitor and adjust the charging for your battery bank - for that you should have a converter of some type, like what comes with the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4135K.
If you don't have a converter on your RV then you might consider picking one up so you can leave your batteries installed during storage. Otherwise you'll need to remove your batteries and set them in a charger during storage.
